Bernice's unquenchable desire for learning led her to continuing her education as a Clinical Massage Therapist. As a perpetual learner, she studied Active Isolated Stretching, Muscle Activation Technique ®, Myofascial Release, Intelligent Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, alleviating site specific restrictions (Golfers Elbow: Tennis Elbow: TMJ: Shoulder., etc), Thai Massage, Sports Massage, Himalayan Salt Stone, Basalt Hot Stone, Cold Stone, Infrared Light Therapy, Cryotherapy, Sekhmet Reiki, Holy Fire Reiki, Sound Therapy, Accupressure, Reflexology, and Trauma Informed Care.
"To be a massage therapist gives my soul joy. My belief is one size does not fit all. Lifestyle, mental health and nutrition are three main components in how a body heals and restores itself. Each person should have the mobility that works best for their body. That is why my Massage and approach is Integrative. And no Massage is ever the same."
Bernice has participated as a massage therapist in the Chicago Marathon for sponsored athletes and Chase sponsored, corporate sporting events. She is a Teachers Assistant for Sports Massage classes at a local college. Her plans for the 2022 are to incorporate Board Certification as a Massage Therapist, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Gua Sha into her practice.
